About Jesse
Jesse Crosson is a nationally recognized speaker, advocate, and educator whose powerful journey—from incarceration to leadership in restorative justice—has inspired millions. After serving 19 years in prison, Jesse was granted a conditional pardon in 2021 and released immediately. He has since become a leading voice for second chances, building a social media following of over one million and speaking across the country about justice reform, trauma, education, and healing.
While incarcerated, Jesse earned a degree in Existential Psychology from Ohio University and helped lead peer support and education programs. Today, he is the founder of Second Chancer Foundation, which connects justice-impacted people with mentors through technology and storytelling, helping them heal and contribute without being defined by their past. He also serves as Program Director at Central Virginia Community Justice and volunteers regularly at Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center.
Jesse has spoken at SXSW, the Tik Tok Sales Conference, the University of Virginia, Boston Public Library, and more. His debut book, The Best Part of Prison, will be published by BenBella Books and distributed by Simon & Schuster in March 2026.
